Conversations With My Conscious

she said,

no body no harm

raise your palms,

and dance with the devil in the dark

with the whitehotheat of the million somethings who

call your name and spit on your grave.

she said,

it’s lonely here,

and it’s passing strange

melting clocks tick,

and the rhythm sticks to bones

voices in the bathroom wall,

this place is death with tiles.

she said,

raise the sky,

pr(e)ay for me like only you know how,

I dare you to be real,

remembered in nothing but stone

yet reduced to dusty memory -

wipe your eyes.

she said,

do you remember a time,

when life had no beginning,

do you remember when you were wild

The End
