The day I whistled for death,

I smiled.

I was ready.

My nails dug deep

Whilst laughter ricocheted through my soul

As my fate spun out of my control.

My life rose further through to the heavens

Wrecklessly a mini prayer rolled from my lips like diluted venom.

Tuneless song lyrics entered my mind,

As I sat there at the pinnacle,

Waiting to die.

I didn't know what to expect,

But I was speechless for words,

I flew in free fall,

Euphoric, content, adrenaline pumping,

My life in mourning.

I didn't know how to react,

Until I realised,

I was fearless,

I was strong,

I was young.

All I had yearned for was invincible fun.

The End
