Inside these walls

I look outside,

To freedom.

Outside to speech

and laughter.

No necessary pain.

Inside these walls,

I look deeper

inside this person

I feel I am not.

They say one must learn to love what they see inside

When the time comes

to turn attention inwards,

Self-criticize not marginalize.

The only judge left is myself

and I plead guilty on all charges

of self-slaughter.

The End
