Confessing

How do I compete with someone you see every day
When I’m barely here at all?
When I only exist through our words, and through your faith in me.

If absence makes the heart grow fonder, I hope I never see you again
Yet I can’t stand to be apart from you for another second

I just died a little inside…

There…

And there

And there…

They say distance doesn’t matter, yet it’s the only thing keeping us apart.

We could talk for the rest of time, but I could never be satisfied
Because what I really long for is just to see you standing beside me
Something that everyone around you takes for granted
Is something that I could only hope for.

Fate is cruel, but the story isn’t over yet
Maybe one day we’ll meet again, and I’ll fall in love all over

The End
