Con Grazia

about someone who will never be what i wanted her to be

You are everything I want,

And everything that I can't have;

Everything I want to take,

But know you'll just be taken back.

Must scars can tell you all I know

Of feelings never realized;

Such things I'll never understand,

And thus must open wide my eyes

And see the world in shades of gray

So you can look into my core.

Now, in terms of happiness,

I must admit, I'm most bereft,

For I am not your everything

While you were all that I had left.

Music may be beautiful,

But even it I doubt can fill

The gaping chasm that you left

When my whole heart was at your will,

And even with this hole you made,

I want you with me all the more.

The End
