Come Join Me There

©1996 Nick Robinson (FTH Ch 6, pg 75)

You don’t have to tell me why to justify your need

And you don’t have to tell me what has brought you here to me

I’m not here to ask you questions that I’m sure you came to ignore

I’m only here to give you the love that I know you came looking for

And now the candlelight caressing the room

And the music filling the air

All that’s missing is the loving and the kissing

Won’t you come join me there?

Now don’t hold your heart back with me

No don’t keep anything at all contained

Just let yourself melt into my arms

And feel all there is to be gained

‘Cause I hear the desire in your voice

And that my dear justifies your choice

So if you feel the need burning deep inside you

Then lay yourself down- open up your heart

And lemme make love to you

‘Cause the candlelight is caressing the room

And the music is filling the air

All that’s missing is the loving and the kissing

Won’t you come join me there

Now we’ve got the evening in front of us

Just leave your worries far behind

We’ll just let Mother Nature take her course

And forget about the hands of time

‘Cause we’re both here to feel a passion

That sends chills up and down our spines

So tonight just show your heart to me

And tonight - I’ll show you mine

The End
