Colours

This is about appreciating that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and that although skin deep vanity will eventually disappear, true beauty will endure forever

If I knew what the world held for me

maybe I would've smiled at my destiny

things aren't so bad as they seem to be

unique, I am beautiful in my nature

Grey colours whirling around

victim of a trial by the playground

All the wrong looks, all the wrong sounds

Guilty as charged, trial by the playground

I should've known not to deny myself

I should've known not to be like everyone else

Because the colours of my soul will make the glaciers melt

So different, one day you'll known beauty too

Grey colours whirling around

victim of a trial by the playground

All the wrong looks, all the wrong sounds

Guilty as charged, trial by the playground

They say beauty is only paper thin

but I know how much you shine on the inside

Skin deep rejected like us

I see what's within, one day you'll shine like us

You'll never need to shed tears again

because even the heavens will adore you

because vanity will fade with the seasons

and the colours of your soul will shine through

Grey colours whirling around

victim of a trial by the playground

All the wrong looks, all the wrong sounds

Guilty as charged, trial by the playground

This grey world, bursting into life

we'll dance in bliss through the night

This darkened space, weary with strife

booming into purity with our light

Grey colours whirling around

victim of a trial by the playground

All the wrong looks, all the wrong sounds

Guilty as charged, trial by the playground

The End
