Out of the Water

We are the winners. Victorious.
Bravely we swam to the surfaces,
Fears overcome by the curious, and
Out of the waters we crawled.

Safe, we looked down on our enemies,
Thriving in relative paradise.
Still ever thinking and curious, we
Lifted our eyes and we saw.

Safe if we stay near the water, but
Danger and daring are sexier.
Happy but not unadventurous, we
Set off again to evolve.
