Sinking in the sand, bittersweetly/

Cold emptiness in our hearts

 

Love is lost in misunderstanding/

And now we find ourselves losing/

Battling in vain for our lives/

Hatred rises now unrestrained/

And now we find ourselves burning/

Battling these fires to survive

 

Fragile links, tearing completely/

Ripping ourselves apart/

Sinking in the sand, bittersweetly/

Cold emptiness in our hearts

 

A misplaced love, wasted on you/

I feel the same regret and anger too/

When dawn rises I know that I need you/

Knowing you never felt the same way too
