Colder - 03/05/06

When all your tears are different colors,
Because you are better than the rest,
When the poison lay down eye drops,
And I press my head to heart to breast.

I have never felt so cold,
On so many lonely nights,
When my skin is torn and tatty,
Against the purest white.

You hold me close,
Like my heart can beat,
Every step closer,
Is one closer to retreat.

When all your tears are drying,
Because you have put me to the test,
When the poison lay down my breath,
And the steel is cold in my chest.

The End
