Cocaine Kiss
Fragile hearts, my power made hers impure
Through the distortion of addiction I ruined her
I speak her name mournfully into the air
To curse an existence never designed to be fair
She suffers in sweet decay
What I once had is forever lost
When death comes I’ll give no resistance
My tears and grief never made any difference
Weak on my knees waiting for the tide
I’ll scatter my memories in the sky
She suffers in sweet decay
What I once had is forever lost
Speaking her name hopefully into the wind
Pleading for forgiveness for corrosive sins
She’s long gone but forever I’ll wait
Until the dark tide comes to sweep me away
She suffers in sweet decay
What I once had is forever lost
Memories of a synthetic bliss
My heart burns with cocaine’s kiss
