Death, an idea

As he walks through the shadows,
and rides on the wind,
he looks at life and gives it a grin,
he's always smiling,
it suits him that’s all,
life is just funny,
there is nothing more

Certainty wavers and life gives way,
friend walk away,
but widows now remain,
friends are forever,
that’s what they say,
but that means nothing when they have to pay.

He is a collector,
master and friend,
life is his friend,
in a strange kind of way,
they may have reasons,
he just has he.

For he is death, the skull in the night

The End
