I came to you

I asked you as best I could

You stood there dressed in blue

As if you really knew

You were so very close to me

Standing closer than you really should

I couldn't help but breathe

In and out

Breathing in the air you've breathed

You promised to try

To give me what I asked for

I don't think you fully realize

What it is you're giving me.
