Cheered Up

Recommend

Well let me tell you, I certainly didn’t expect this.

Euphoria grips and expels this muggy mist

For a while, I feel on top of the world

No more like a confused, out-of-place girl

The sky is blue, the grass is green

My life seems a little less mean

How could I moan, how could I complain?

And how, this feeling can I explain?

Pushing out the darkness in my heart

I am but a child, this is a new start

Ocean spray salts my smile

I could get used to this, once in a while

Everyone I talk to understands me

For once, communication comes easily

People laugh at my jokes

And I understand the spokes

Of this wheel that makes the world turn round.
