Evil is a Villain of his Creation

I am the puppet master.

Each night I tie a new string

on you.
First the arms,

showing you what I like.
Then the legs,

Telling you where to go.
After, the head,

To nod here,
Shake there,

Think this.

Finally I put my hand
On the contraption

that works your mouth.
My falsehoods become your truths,
As hollow as your wooden bones.

I will have you dancing
to my tune,
Wrap the broken limbs
in pleasing red silk,
Cover your doll face
in perfect alabaster.

When I'm done,
I'll use you for kindling
and watch everything

The End
