Ferris Wheel

Two people,
going round and around
in a vertical circle.

You only wanted to go on for the promise
of rooftops
and maybe to be higher than the birds.
Well now you’re trapped

Somewhere near the top,
But not quite,
Since that takes human effort
and you were never good
at that.

So you look at each other,
Then away.
You take a sneaky peak,
‘Oh crap they saw!'

They look at that church.
So red faced, you open your mouth,
and move in for a kiss,
Because it’s so much easier
than words.

The End
