Can I Trust You?

It’s only real when you’re here,

This love, hate, consumes me and I hurt,

I ache,

I bleed.

These words cannot express the depths of my emotion,

Yet, you don’t care.

Can you comprehend the amount of feeling

One person lavishes onto another.

Self-sadistic, it should be called,

Putting yourself up for such a fall.

Remember, that free-falling trust exercise.

One person falling spread eagled,

One person behind, ready to catch them.

Will you catch me?

Unlikely, I should not even let myself think of trusting you.

It’ll only lead to a fall.

The End
