Burning bridges

Yes Burn Burn Burn,

Burn those bridges down

But notice the worn decreasing structure

Recently disregarded and overgrowing

Careful not to give that path another scorch

The previous ash and shadow still remains

If the link cracks, where will that leave you?

Adventurers sail across to you, called by inner sorrow

The wind always too strong the drowning is fate

Their future hope remains but fractured

The constant girl, pale and fragile

Stands strongly in amongst the withering furls

Feet firmly rooted to that vine-draped path

Keeps watch as guardian, not knowing why

She only wants what’s best for you

So Burn Burn Burn

Burn those bridges down?

The End
