Broken Promises

Broken Promises

Once upon a time,
You made me a promise,
That you wouldn’t leave me.
But where are you now?
You’re gone.
Broken promises,
Empty words,
All are a burden,
On my shattered heart.
Scattered on the cold, relentless floor,
Split up like puzzle pieces.
But there is a piece missing,
The most important piece:

You.

The End
