Broken Hallelujah

Yes, another 'hallelujah' angelic poem. Mind you, this one and the last one were both written a LONG time ago. My poetry days have long since gone....

Some of the lines and the rythym of the poem were taken from Rufus Wainwright's 'Hallelujah' as heard in the motion picture 'Shrek'.

I took the fall

Hit the ground

And then I heard

The saddest sound

The angels singing

The broken hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah....

Today is the first

Day of the rest

Of my life as what

I seem to do best

The loneliest, quietest

Queen of all the outcasts

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah....

I know that I've

Been here before

I know this room

I've walked this floor

I used to cry myself to sleep at night

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Hallelujah....

So that's it

My story's through

Don't bother telling me

What it meant to you

I know that you'll forget

By saturday

Hallelujah

Broken song

Hallelujah

Broken Hallelujah...

The End
