Seventeen ReasonsMature

1)
every love letter
we've written.
they are alive,
illustrating lined paper,
mimicking the flowers
growing along the streets.
2)
the longing
that fills the room
when you are there
drenching the walls
with your smile
3)
the forest fire
we become
tearing apart
to come together
as we go up in flames.
4)
My fingers
stiff and calloused
from holding a pencil
trying to get
the words down
but everything is so...
Cliche.
5)
the way
your eyes
light up.
A shining star
encompassed
in one person.
6)
Adventures
we dream of.
Holding onto
my hand
and never letting go,
as we climb up
to the top.
7)
getting into your car
where it's been sitting
in the sun
where the cold
isn't so bitter
like you are summer
in a kiss.
8)
being a writer
makes it easy
to remember
the things you say,
and how I felt
when you said them.
How airy,
elated,
the first time
you said
"I love you"
and every time
since.
9)
Days
can be spent
sitting in the sun
basking
in the words
written on paper
that search for you
and ways
to see that smile.
10)
the worlds
created
just for you
to somehow
shed light
on how beautiful
you are.
11)
my ribs
rattling
at the sound
of your voice
your laughter
like vines
wrapping around me.
12)
caught up
in seizing the moments
intertwining our souls
just like
every song
you've sung
to me
13)
repetition, because
I don't know how to say
all I can feel
within my bones
14)
lying next to you,
Solid and warm
breathing synchronized
heart beats slow and calm
15)
every picture
telling a story
16)
every twist and turn
every dip
fingers intertwined
holding onto every song
17) Prom?

The End
