Break Society

Recommend

She stands with the "in" crowd,
Holding back her thoughts,
Forcing herself to fit the mould of her peers.
She doesn't realize the chains that come with,
The burden she now carries,
Now that she's been broken by society.

If we can't break the chains,
If we can't use our brains,
Then what good are we on our own?
Break away, snap the ties,
Remember to fear for our lives,
And we can break society.

He stands alone, watching, waiting.
He's forgotten how to use his thoughts.
Just like one of them is what he's become,
Chains holding him back are fastened shut,
Now that he's been broken by society.

If we can't break the chains,
If we can't use our brains,
Then what good are we on our own?
Break away, find the key,
Remember not to fear the difference,
And we can break society.

Take the saw, take the hammer,
Break the chain that holds you down.
Feel the freedom, speak your mind,
Be the master of your own kind.
