Boxed In

Ever feel trapped? The grass is always greener on the other side right?

Trapped like a pantomime princess
No way to escape
No where to run
Life takes a villainous hold
No chance of release in site
Pot-luck is so slim to the extreme.

The pantomime princess desires her prince
But she cannot reach him.
Alice wants to be with Dick Whittington
But the rat father keeps her captive
Princess Jasmine pines for the heroic Aladdin
But Abanazar has an alternative scheme.

Trapped to the point of suffocation
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air.
A longing to break free grows
It grows and grows and grows.
The grass is greener
In Australia
In America
In Spain
In Bahrain
But obstacles are a constant boundary
Keeping me here.

The End
