Box of Deceits
Parfait
A lightly whipped mousse of fascination,
delicately flavoured with laughter,
rolled in generous passion
and dusted with hope.
Coupe
Purée of misunderstandings,
blended with rich disappointment,
encased in a smooth cup of bitterness
and decorated with silence.
Caprice
An irresistible truffle of intrigue,
laced with delicious dishonesty,
in a crisp shell of cool pretence
and sprinkled with lies.
Croquant
A dark blend of accusations,
soaked in smooth denial,
coated in thick anger
and topped with a bittersweet parting.
