A million moments I could have done better but this is enoughMature

The second
she got out
of the car
we clicked
like a lock-
anticipating-
we turned
as if we had long known
and your lips
were against mine
and I couldn’t
not
touch you.
and upstairs
when we were alone
and all we had to learn
was each others skin
and when
my head
was in your lap
taking
so many pictures
to revel
in the day
as long
as I could
and at night
learning more
about each other
than we did
in the morning
whether it was against the wall
or without our clothes
and even as simple
as holding your hand
because it was just as complex
as showing you
the plastic factory
and I didn’t kiss you then
but I will
everywhere I can

The End
