HomeMature

“I would choose you-
In a thousand lifetimes
In a thousand worlds
any parallel universe
I would find you
and I would choose you.”

Sometimes I think
I’d always find
my way to you.
As cliché
as it
may be
it makes me think of
‘we’re made
from the same star’
And I think
that we are.
I think
no matter where
No matter when
I’d always
come home
to you.
As if
you were screaming
my name
from the top
of a mountain
and
I were
a million miles
away,
I’d hear you
I’d hear you
and I’d come home
There are books
I have read
where people
find their soul-mates
by strings,
little
spiritual
or
emotional
strings
They dream
and they follow
these strings
to the person
that is
home.
It’s funny
I read
these stories
I watch
these movies
these shows
Hear
this music
and I
I feel
envious
Of these things
that aren’t even
REAL
except
They are
in all sorts
of different ways
Everyone
has a different way
to go home
I just didn’t know
mine
would be
like this
It’s like my skin
already knows
who you are
Already knows
every path
your fingertips
have travelled
My ears

Already know
your voice
Somehow
I already know
you
are home.
