Home.Mature

some souls
have an ache
like no other
the feeling
of being lost
and searching
searching for home
because home
for some reason
isn't where
your feet
are on the ground
rather
it's the freedom
in the air
in your lungs
your hands
swept
in the wind
home
is a long search
leading far away
and you aren't so sure
it's meant to end
but continue on
breathless-
some souls
have an ache
a hunger
you can't slate
so you move on
searching
for home
even if home
isn't really
anywhere
you hear it call
begging
and beckoning
so you follow
riveted
to this song
like we are the words
or something
to that general
effect
we are the mountains
in Fall,
the pools
in Summer,
the birds
in Spring,
the chill
in Winter
we are a thousand miles
seeping
in our veins
we are
the fire
in the world
the oxygen
flowing in the wind
the peace
in a meadow
we are a million journeys
hundreds of stories
all searching
for home.
