Bonsai

Some days it looks up at me with

a confident trunk and bustling

leaves, perfectly content to sit perfectly on my

desk, and drink in light and

water and my

avid curiosity.

But other days it pouts and

moans, throws its limbs into a heap and

can't be cheered by light

or water

or my fiercest

admiration.

The End
