Block the Sound

They shouldn't act his way.

I press for ice

To block the sound

Their voices ring

All through my ears

I try to ignore

The pain inside my heart

Their relationship isn't

What it should be

I close my eyes

Force back the tears

They continue on

As if not heard

I down my water

And chomp on the ice

I cringe

The ice is cold

Too cold

Just like their love.

The End
