Black Beauty
The inky black cascades,
Each magnificent strand entagling,
All touched by a midnight,
So deep and sensuous.
They capture me,
The smile they frame,
The life they bring,
The dawn they promise.
Each ashen dusk is shorter,
Knowing that night is coming,
Each hurdle is made smaller,
Knowing that night is here.
