Bitterness Reigns

Its about the fine lines between hatred and bitter lust, and how they can easily be blurred

Turn the best laid of my plans to dust

Am I sick or am I just disturbed

And all my dreams and nightmares are of her

She taunts me and mocks me in the daylight

I will have my revenge the next time

Bitterness reigns across me like a disease

Love is infected and rotten like leprosy

In this urban sprawl I’m far from safe

And I fight to catch a glimpse of angels

Only a moment of heaven before I see the truth

I know how much more there’s left to lose

I left the body and the house to combust

My heart beats left in fear, perturbed

Bury the house and leave the lights to burn

She looks so revolting now in the daylight

I warned you that the triumph would be mine

Bitterness reigns across me like a disease

Love is infected and rotten like leprosy

Before the fall the malice spread in my veins

Cast from loving sight, my heart is a hollow place

A moment of heaven and now I can see the truth

Paradise is empty now, a smokescreen and a ruse

The End
