Snow Storm

Recommend

Out into the bitter winter white
I trudge to keep me warm.
layered up against the cold
I try to beat the winter storm.

North wind whips, uncontrolled
As I flounder forward in the snow.
I've lost my way in the fading light,
I cannot see which way to go.

The storm hits with a banshee wail
Of sleet and ice that blinds me
I must find shelter, I cannot fail.
I'll freeze if no one finds me

Author guidance for This poem

moonwalker This is a collection of poems from different sources - entries from past Poetry Tournaments and sample poems from past tournaments I've hosted or co - hosted.

There are also various musings that I've jotted down at work, in the car, or when I'm bored in my doctor's waiting room.

Some of them will just be rants to let off steam. I rant about a lot of stupid stuff that annoys me, like telemarketers, and silent letters.
