Beyond This Town

Recommend

If only I had the courage to be who I wanted to be

Then I could bear my soul, swim forever in the sea

I could live without a dark heart, black clouds may depart

But the emptiness, stubbornly it sits in some corner

But I think all my hopes will rise with the dawn

Beautiful blue skies and the chance to reminisce

If only I could be with her, and share the perfect kiss

A slave to common place and the hopeless around

I wish to live beyond the gates, the prison of this town

What I had once with her, now fed to the birds

Love's carcass torn apart by vultures, Love is left to burn

But I'm still hopelessly romantic, forever breaking my own heart

But I steel myself under the beauty of the stars

Beautiful blue skies and the chance to reminisce

If only I could be with her, and share the perfect kiss

A slave to common place and the hopeless around

I wish to live beyond the gates, the prison of this town

She was as beautiful as the autumn

The golden brown leaves, intense as her gaze

The Indian summer I'll keep forever in memory

Cold heart's embers, rekindled to blaze

Beautiful blue skies and the chance to reminisce

If only I could be with her, and share the perfect kiss

A slave to common place and the hopeless around

I wish to live beyond the gates, the prison of this town
