Insomnia

Necessity, the crimson spawn of Fate,
Sets my path into the dark:
A slumber slips into my mortality,
A transcending sleep,
Under which renewal is a dream;
And stirred by but a sigh,
My spirit awakes reborn.
This new world, my haven, is curled:
Laying hugged upon a bed of grass – soft and verdant,
Encircled by floral oceans of red and gold,
The vaults of dwindling stars luminous high above,
I find myself, and freedom astride security.
What here begs my feet come or go
But the every indulgence of my will?
And all the while this placeless vale promises
That no wanderer is ever lost,
Yet lost in time is now memory,
Fond, but closed, of time itself.
To rise, to wander,
And to glow in ambience
Amongst the embrace of summer nights,
The caress of kindly winds,
And the perfume of the trees,
Is to see the earth forever,
Beyond age and aeons.
The councils of the river spirits
Aside the festive rain gods
Are singing sweet symphonies
Before dimly easing you in.
And now the eternity wastes by,
Until your peaceful death.

The End
