Something to get me started, very basic rhymed poem, simplistic for a likewise minded poet.

I sit and gaze through panes of glass

see chimney stacks as birds swoop past

while planes tear clouds, they move so fast,

I wonder what's beyond.

Velvet wash and moon aglow

see stars perform with dazzling show

while emptiness, it seems to grow

I wonder what's beyond.

Ice rocks traverse the frozen space

light absorbed without a trace

planets home to alien race

I wonder what's beyond.

Heaven perhaps, awash with gold

or Valhalla and heroes old

but is that the end, the story told,

or is there more beyond?

The End
