Besting your Nesting

Recommend

I went outside for the first time in weeks.
The sun was warm as it chased away,
The clouds hanging low in my heart.
Lonely, I’m waiting. Not believing we’d part.

The sun was warm as it chased away
Those feelings I’m festering yet trying to shake
It keeps them at bay, a small moment I’ll take.
The wind is so gentle as it clings to my tears.

Those feelings I’m festering yet trying to shake
They pour through my veneer, splashing the ground,
It emptied this vessel. Echoed by a high keening sound.
Drying out the ocean that in me had tumbled.

They pour through my veneer, splashing the ground,
I fall to my knees thoroughly humbled
Your lies I see clearly. Our love had been tested.
I take back the place in my heart you had nested.

Author guidance for This poem

Gink I was inspired by Subtle.Smile and merely copied the:
"Second line is first line in new stanza" form.
it looked like a good challange on its own. THEN I learned that it was a Pantoum. which is to be written as follows:

The 2nd and 4th lines of each stanza are repeated as the 1st and 3rd of the next.
Repeat as many times as you like until the final stanza which has its own rules:
(A) The 1st and 3rd lines are 2nd and 4th of the penultimate (next to last)
(B) The 1st line of the poem is the last line of final stanza
(C) 3rd line of the 1st stanza is the 2nd line of the final stanza.

hahaha too much for my first attempt as you can see. So that will be my next challange. =)
Be gentle as I explained why it was'nt done right the first time. I learned of it 'after the fact'
