Behind Closed Doors

A man is struggling trying to get over his wife who cheated on him.

I wear my heart on my sleeve
beer can castles protecting me
from memories too hard to swallow.
With the setting sun

taking my heart for a ride,
you broke all the commandments.
drinking in our love.
getting high off your scent,

no amount of whiskey can
make me forget.
Another day another shot
to numb the pain,
this is the only way to sundown.

The End
