Bedtime
Why does it seem you start to shout
Just before the lights should go out?
"It's time to go to bed -
You heard what I Said!"
Screaming and shouting...
Insulting and pouting...
You fling barbs at your sister
just like a springtime twister.
Bedtime seems so far away
When you ignore everything I say.
Quiet now and try to sleep
Please don't make another peep.
Sleep is what we all desire.
Can we please call a ceasefire?
