Battle Cry

This is about trying to fight for a good cause and having people trying to hold you back and make you feel like dirt.

Bound to the task I condemned myself to start

And now it seems it will tear my soul apart

Coming home will never be the same for me now

In the ruins of somewhere unknown I fight to survive

There comes a time you will find the same path

And I hope against hope you won't make the same mistakes as me

Condemned to be a monster in the pages of history

I've arrived, and I'm bleeding on the inside

This pain turns me inside out

exposing my flaws to the world

in the theatre of war you're soon discovered

every inch of insecurity like a banner unfurled

All is lost for the greater good

all is a plague cleansed by the flood

We are like Gods, armed with assualt rifles

breaking down the doors of our reality

I've arrived, and I'm bleeding on the inside

This pain turns me inside out

exposing my flaws to the world

in the theatre of war you're soon discovered

every inch of insecurity like a banner unfurled

Some people say I don't belong

But I will prove myself as one of their own

Born to slave in the mud and to die alone

They justify their anger, by saying that they suffered the same

I've arrived, and I'm bleeding on the inside

This pain turns me inside out

exposing my flaws to the world

in the theatre of war you're soon discovered

every inch of insecurity like a banner unfurled

The End
