backwards tongues

could you read between my lines
between my not and being fine
the backwards tongue that misdefines
that contradicts these words of mine
please soothe my aching head
with all the comforts of the dead
all the roses we'll keep painting red
after all is done and all is said.
could you spare the rare glimpsing time
to keep me ever present on your mind
to use me up till im lost inside
locked inside a twisted rhyme
sing me to sleep with melodies
drift me off to make believe
should i ask. tell me honestly
could you ever sing for only me?

The End
