Back To The Road
I spent so many days, sat in wonder and disbelief
Thoughts of empty existence and a lack of direction
This brings so many pains without a relief
Redemption and heaven are but a dream to me
Nothing but a dream to me now
Where did my years go, poured into a void
Fate searched for my glory and had me destroyed
The road I have to tread, the path I have to find
Blurred and gone as ashes in the wind, I’m blinded by the light
May a hand guide me back to the road
Sails raised, dragged so far away from home
If only you’ll speak I’ll gladly listen
If only I knew fate’s plan for me
Everyone I loved has turned away from me
And here I am, still unsure of the ways of the world
Forgotten by fate, but unchained from destiny
All of my options slowly running out
Slowly fading fast from me
Where did my friends go, all swallowed by the void
Friendship turns to sorrow, the last threads destroyed
The road I have to tread, the path I have to find
Wrecked and ruined as darkness falls, My soul drowned in the light
May a hand guide me back to the road
Sails raised, dragged so far away from home
If only you’ll speak I’ll gladly listen
If only I knew fate’s plan for me
May a hand guide me back to the road
Sails raised, dragged so far away from home
If only you’ll speak I’ll gladly listen
If only I knew fate’s plan for me
