Legal Eagle

How splendid it would be to eat rats all day

And wash my worries away

It'd be a miracle to watch my babies hatch

and think of how hard I try to get them to fly

Anyone who's mean will scream

When I scratch them with my talons

To fly high in the breeze

When no one sees a speck of dust

How spledid it would be,

to be an eagle that's legal

Written at the age of 9, in 4th grade. I find it very weird that I have been stuck on the whole hawk or eagle deal, even before 4th grade. There was a piece on an eagle that I wrote in 1st grade...

The End
