Autumn Rain

A entirely new poem for me...Here goes nothing.

Stay with me awhile

Learn about my life

Into the oceans I swim to where you might be

Another siren fallen across the waves

Lost and forlorn, her eyes stray to meet my departure

Wish I could love her

But here I am the martyr

Running into the light

Your soft loving heart is driven to break me apart

Your love for me fades like the soft autumn rains

Twenty six letters so hard to compose

Creating the threads with no idea where they go

Played by a Siren like a harp, she knows

And sings her song to me

Breaking it halfway to stare at another

Wish I could love her

But here I am the martyr

Running into the light

I see you there with your smile

Body driven apart

Your love for me, like your heart, fades like the soft autumn rains

The End
