Autumn days will soon be here-

Stand right up and give a cheer!

Upturned faces the sun has caressed

All the hillsides are gaily dressed

Trees bedecked in golden glory,

Sparrows twittering a bedtime story

Geese headed south by the scores,

Barbequed meals cooked outdoors.

Dewey mornings glisten with gossamer jewels,

October treats for all the goblins and ghouls.

Bonfires blazing on chilly nights,

Kids in the park with fluttering kites!

Enjoy it friends, while you can…
