As it was written

THIS POEM HASN'T BEEN CHANGED AT ALL.
It was written in five minutes, in live time, to the person whom this was directed. I changed line standings (where I hit enter) though.
I just wanted to be able to see what happens with raw emotion and without being able to think about it much, no editing, y'know?

To me it's such a circus tent

What something means to me is so different

To you it's another challenge like a game,

To you it shouldn't matter all the same

But if you hear me call your name

What if you hear me call your name and

I'm not where you want me to be,

Not near something you want to see

I'm not doing what you think is good,

Not standing where you think I should

What if I am so different

That we aren't even in the same tent

I like to see you smile,

But what about after a while

Can't say it'll be the future,

Can't say anything really gets nearer

To me it's a circus tent

What something means to me is so different

But what if you hear me call your name

What if you hear me call your name and

I'm not singing quite the same tune,

Not on the same channel as you

I'm not speaking for something you want to hear,

Not thinking of values that to you are near

What if we are so different,

That we are not even in the same tent?

The End
