Apologetic Rain

Blue moon, blue moon,

Why must you cry?

Do you plan to have someone close to me die?

Sending sorrowful rain,

My way, an apology at it's best.

I understand your reasoning,

Choosing a better life with a small debt.

When the thunder cracks and roars,

I promise I am listening.

So I hear your apology,

Loud and clear.

Blue moon, blue moon,

Stop weeping, my dear.

I understand why they must die,

And I love bathing in the rain,

But currently, all it does is bring me pain.

To know you are upset, and know the reason why.

Beautiful blue moon, hiding behind a sky of tears.

Let me be the one to cry.

The End
