Island of TimeMature

Time has forgotten me,
I can neither move
forward nor back.
I move in short circles,
a maze designed to trap,
on an island of time.
I gain happiness,
and lose it
earn money
and lose it,
make friends
and lose them.
A pointless, repeated practise.
Trying to stop a sinking ship,
armed with a colander,
a pen and some paper.

The End
