Pretty Birdie
Pretty birdie singing her song,
pretty birdie is trying to find a mate,
the hunter is lying in wait,
pretty birdie is shot,
down, down into the shrubs,
pretty birdies feathers are stained with red,
pretty birdie knows of the hunters words unsaid,
Pretty birdie was singing her song,
pretty birdy was trying to find a mate,,
pretty birdie did nothing wrong,
