Angry Love

Fire, smoke, it surrounds me
Blocking my path, hazing my vision
I run, scream, try to break free
But it’s all too much, too much for me

The fire is like the words you spew
The embers venom, hatred
And all of it true

I know not what I did to deserve it
But you make sure to tell me that I do;

A thousand sorrys won’t ease the pain
It’s a weakness, you say
And hence a bane

The very tears I cry add to the guilt
Of not being strong enough to withstand your love
The love that you say will never wilt
Because it is born of a passion that shall always live

Even if I don’t, because anger is forever
And with it he shall grow,
The head of innocence to sever.

The End
