ωorth ȿaving

ωorth ȿaving

fill twelve thousand pages' worth with wrongs
keep me reading my sins all night long
it's been forever since i last was sure
that i could ever be completely pure

tell my family i have gone away
tell my friends i'll miss the light of day
instead, i stand to face the facts
i've gone too far, i'm never coming back

condemnation fills my soul with shame
no one else could ever take my blame
immerse my heart in sin's putrid stench
when did i become such a wretch

my head's hung low, death's what i expect
for there can be no redemption left
hope is lost, i face my just reward
my fate now is all up to the Lord

but then, instead of being cast aside
i see the recognition in His eyes
"I know you," my Savior slowly says
"You're the one for whom I endured death"

the holes in His hands seem to agree
indeed, my sin was heavy, but i'm free
for He has paid my price years ago
i shall not now know death's dark'ning blow

still, i cannot bring myself to believe
that perhaps, this ransom was meant for me
"unworthy!" i cry out in bitter pain
but then, He proceeds to say again

"I know you," my Savior slowly says
"You're the one for whom I endured death
My bride, my pure bride in the making
you are the one who I know is worth saving"
